How to use the Avast Uninstall Tool

We recommend using the Avast Uninstall Tool to completely remove Avast Free Antivirus from your PC if uninstallation via the Start menu did not work or you see the setup is already running message. The Avast Uninstall Tool deletes all Avast Free Antivirus files from your PC while Windows runs in Safe Mode.

Uninstall via Uninstall Tool After you complete the steps below, your PC will no longer be protected by Avast Free Antivirus against malware and other threats. Click the button below to download the Avast Uninstall Tool and save it to a familiar location on your PC (by default, downloaded files are saved to your Downloads folder). Download the Avast Uninstall Tool For computers based on old processors without SSE2 support, download the following file: Avast Uninstall Tool (non-SSE2). Right-click the downloaded file avastclear.exe, and select Run as administrator from the context menu.
